Ophthalmologists can diagnose a variety of diseases and strive to find a treatment plan that works for you. If you need eye surgery for any reason, it will also be an ophthalmologist who performs the surgery.
Consider the following questions when meeting with an ophthalmologist:
What should I know about surgery?
If you are considering surgery, you can ask our ophthalmologists and their teams any questions about expectations before, during and after your surgery to help make you feel comfortable and make the process run smoothly.
What new technology options are there?
Our ophthalmologists stay on top of advancements in technology that can better serve our patients.
What can I be doing to help maintain good vision?
Whether you are being evaluated for surgery or are being seen for the ongoing treatment of a condition, be sure to ask our doctors what you can do to maintain good vision, whether that be lifestyle adjustments, medication or a more strategic treatment plan.

Dina “Ziggy” Dillon5 StarMy initial appointment & visit at Southwestern Eye Center was a blessing. I was expecting a lengthy time frame & unforeseen costs.
The check-in & screening process went pretty quick, and the wait time to see the doctor wasn't too long. Dr. Palmer felt like a familiar old friend when I met him. He reverberated positive vibes & the prosthetic I was going to eventually receive, happened to be available & on site! So everything worked out very well & I was blessed with a much needed boost of confidence, thanks to my prosthetic.Saturday 1st June 2024
SvetLana S4 StarMckenzie, the assistant, was phenomenal! She was extremely patient and professional! She did pretty much all of the testing of the vision and spent the most time with the patient, contrary to the doctor. He was going to be just in and out until I stopped hime to ask for more questions. I did not see any interest in the doctor to try to help the patient until he was stopped and asked. This is shameful. Also, the stand up machine automated check in should be optional. It is challenging for some elderly persons to navigate it.Thursday 2nd May 2024

Don Brunner3 StarI was disappointed by Dr. Palmer's attitude that. When he entered the exam room, he barely acknowledged me, reviewed the tests results, examined my eyes and asked if I needed any scrip renewals. He then asked to see me in 3/4 months and was gone, not good patient Doctor relations Maybe he was having a bad day or other reason.Monday 27th May 2024
