Disappointing Experience at Costco Vision Center I recently visited the Costco Vision Center with my partner, hoping to place her contact lens prescription. However, the service we received left us extremely disappointed and frustrated. Despite being loyal members and covered under the same insurance plan, we were informed that my partner could not be served because she was not listed on the account. We have always placed our prescriptions through Costco without any issues, so this policy was unexpected and poorly explained. What made matters worse was the rude and disrespectful behavior of one of the employees. Not only did they fail to provide a clear explanation of the policy, but they also displayed a dismissive attitude towards my partner. This kind of treatment is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the customer service standards of Costco. As long-standing members, we have always expected better from Costco. It is disheartening to have such a negative experience tarnish our opinion of the company. We believe that every customer should be treated with respect, regardless of their account status. We hope that Costco takes this feedback seriously and takes steps to improve the training and professionalism of their employees. Transparent communication of policies and a commitment to respectful service should be a priority. Unfortunately, based on this encounter, we are reconsidering our membership with Costco. It is crucial for companies to understand the impact that rude service can have on customer loyalty and satisfaction. Overall, we urge Costco to address these issues promptly and ensure that future customers receive the exceptional service they deserve. We hope that our feedback is taken into account and that necessary improvements are made.

used to love costco for eye exams but cant recommend anymore. First I called months ago about a question on my vision and they never bothered to call back. Then, I called today to make an appt and instead I was put on hold 10 min, then transferred, it rang another three minutes with no one picking up and then disconnected. Called right back, was put on hold again. After 3 min I gave up and will be taking my business elsewhere. They never seem to be available anymore and wait times are too long. Too bad!

Good experience with the doctor but the eye glass ordering experience was lacking. Spoke to an employee named Felix about changing out prescriptions in frames I owned and he said the lab they use wouldn't do it since the frame had a little flaking. I asked if could send it to the lab to see if they would do it and he said they won't so it's a waste of time and refused to even try. I went to the Elliott Road Costco and I told them about the flaking and they said it probably wouldn't be a problem but that the lab may reject them and they could send them off to see. They swapped out the lenses no problem.

I had a great experience at Costco optical department. Bryan help my mother in law fixed her glasses with no cost. He was very friendly and helpful. Thank you Bryan 😊

It’s a hit or miss. I took a pair of sunglasses to put prescription transitions on and the associate told me they couldn’t. 4 month after I took the same sunglasses and they “checked and see”. Boom magically they can now. This happened a while back. Today I took another pair of sunglasses, different color, and the manager (he had a silver Costco ID card) told me they can’t put prescription sunglasses on even though the they previously put transitions lenses. What a joke!
