The staff were very friendly and professional. My glasses were set up perfectly and would not hesitate to return with my family. The Optometrist was very helpful and explained the importance of all the tests performed.

Referred by a coworker. Amazing experience from start to finish. The paperwork is all available online. My appointment started early. The doctor is extremely kind and knowledgeable. And picking out my new glasses was so much fun! I will most definitely be back again and will refer everyone who asks me for suggestions to go here. Thank you all so much!

UPDATE: Arizona Eye Institute saw my original review and responded promptly in a manner that shows they care deeply about their customers. They were able to make it right for me which re-established my confidence in them as excellent providers. They apologized for not being upfront about the pricing and provided a solution to make up for it. Honestly, my exam there was top-notch; it was only their pricing that dissuaded me from returning. ORIGINAL REVIEW: The providers here were fantastic. They were professional and did a great job on my eye exam. However, I have no plans to ever return because I think they severely lacked transparency in their pricing/charges. I had been excited to have vision insurance for the first time in my independent adult life. When I called Arizona Eye Institute to make sure they accepted my insurance and make an appointment, I also let them know I wear contacts. The lady on the phone said, "oh that's very helpful to know." This was the point where she should have mentioned that a contact lens fitting was $180 and not covered by insurance, but she did not. Instead, she just got me on the schedule. At my appointment, they did some imaging that were also extra charges (about $60 more). You can imagine my shock when they handed me my bill at the end of the appointment and it was more than double what I had been paying out of pocket (no insurance!) for eye exams with contact fittings for well over a decade! Absolutely outrageous and I didn't even receive a sample pair of contacts. I'm better off without insurance at my previous optometrist. I will not return to a business that is not forthcoming in its pricing.

I heartily endorse Dr. Nannenga. She was fantastic; she went over every test and thoroughly reviewed the science underlying good eye health. She was really informed, compassionate, and made to feel very much at home as a new patient.

Arizona Eye is great- both the doctor and the tech were incredible friendly and professional. The doctor explained each test, showed the results and what they meant and took time ensuring my prescription was correct. The tech was patient and kind when helping me select frames for my new glasses. She walked me through pricing and made sure I understood the breakdown of costs. What really impressed me was how both ladies recognized everybody who walked through the door. They really know their patients and genuinely seem to enjoy/care about them. In short, an amazing experience!
