I can't stand this office. It is nearly impossible to get a hold of any one whenever I try calling. I was there on the 28th of March for a follow up appointment with my daughter. The doctor we saw was good but everything else has been a nightmare. She needed an extra pair of lenses, and we were told they would cost $135 and take 7 to 8 weeks to come in! She needed some, so I bit the bullet and did it. I was talking to a coworker 20 minutes later and he mentioned that his dad who runs and optometry practice can cut the lenses in 30 minutes and get them to us the same day for half the cost. So, I called the office back immediately to cancel the order before it had been fully processed. I was told the lady who started processing the order went to lunch and that they couldn't do anything and that they would have her call me back the same day. This is around noon. At 4:30 I still hadn't heard anything, so I called again and was told that they couldn't do anything and that upper management would have to review it and they would call me back within a few business days. It has now been 9 weeks. Upper management never called and I have never been notified of the order was cancelled or if the lenses have come in. My husband tried calling today to figure out what was going on after a failed attempt of reaching them today on my end. He was told that he saw that we tried calling about cancelling the order back in May, but nothing as far as we know was done about it. He was also told the lenses could be at the office but since a manager isn't in today they aren't able to see if the lenses are there or not. If the lenses are there, they have never called us to let us know they are there. If they aren't there and the order was cancelled we never received a refund and we're never notified. Stay clear of this place! As soon as we get this fiasco figured out, we will be cancelling our appointment in October and finding a different practice to bring my daughter to.

The Mesa office was a little hard to find. It’s behind Firehouse Subs. The wait was about 8 minutes and the total time there was about 30 minutes. Both Doctors,, performed eye tests on my 6 year olds eyes. The doctor made her recommendations and truly seemed to care about my kid. They were professional, knowledgeable and courteous. Best appointment I’ve been apart of in years.

We have seen Dr. Cassidy at ABC children’s eye specialists for over 15 years. He is amazing! He takes time to listen and understand the complexity of my sons challenging visual issues. He treats children with disabilities with respect and is so kind and knowledgeable. He understands things that other specialists do not. I highly recommend him! It is worth a wait to get into see him.

The staff and doctor were very friendly and knowledgeable, however there is one huge red flag that will keep me from returning or referring friends. They do not use numbing drops before the painful dilating drops. The drops sting terribly and nearly made my 11 year old cry. The assistant expressed that she hates having to restrain screaming children to do the drop and the doctor said he has tried repeatedly to get management to add them to the routine but they refuse. The doctor was kind and apologetic, but we absolutely will not return unless their practices change.

Dr. Smith and all the staff were very kind with my four year daughter, who struggles slightly with sensory processing and communication. Things were kept simple. The visit was a little long and came with a lot of waiting but we were warned before our appointment was made. It was no longer than we expected. The office is clean and very child friendly.
